Gretchen Leonora Greenlee (Ferrin) 1916 - 2004


Gretchen passed away peacefully on October 26, 2004 in Salt Lake City, from natural causes following a stroke.

She was born March 13, 1916 in Heavener, Oklahoma, the first child of Victor Sylvester Greenlee and Luella Pannell Greenlee. After graduating from Springville High School where she enjoyed performing in theatrical productions, she moved to Salt Lake and worked as an office worker for the state government. She married Joseph M. Ferrin in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 25, 1938. He died August 7, 1984.

She loved her home, remodeling antique furniture and collecting dolls. Her hobby was buying and selling collectible dolls. She loved going out to dinner with her children, and loved visits with grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and neighbors.

Survived by her children, Joyce Ann Munguia, Scott Ferrin, and David Ferrin (Nancy); four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister Betty Rawlings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 1, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Chapel, 2350 E. 1300 So., where family and friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Lawn.
