Orlo Steadwell Maw, age 82, passed away of heart failure on April 2, 2004 surrounded by his loving family. He was a very special husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

He was born on September 20, 1921 in Plain City, Utah to Wilmer John Maw and Selma Wood.

Orlo married his forever sweetheart Rosella Ann Larkin on February 9, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He graduated from Weber High School in 1939 and attended Weber College until 1941. He went on to own and operate Maw Equipment, a family owned Case Equipment dealership.
Orlo served faithfully as bishop on two separate occasions, he was in the High Council, was High Priest Group Leader, he was a temple worker at the Ogden LDS Temple for many years, served in the Texas/Louisiana Mission from February 1942- April 1944 and served in many other callings throughout his life as an active LDS Church member.
A long time member of the Plain City Lions Club, Orlo also served as President and in other positions to better the community. Orlo served in the U. S. Army from 1944-1946 in Texas and in Europe.

He is survived by his wife, Rosella, Plain City; and his daughters Annette (Dallas) Taylor, Plain City; Kathleen (Kris) Widdison, Yorba Linda, CA.; sons Lane (Jeanie) Maw, Plain City; Brent Maw, Roy; Bruce (Laura) Maw, Orem; Dean (Jana) Maw, North Ogden.
He is also survived by his brother Eugene (Fern) Maw, Roy; sister Idona (Elvin) Taylor, Nampa, ID; brother Farrell (Marie) Maw, Greely, CO; and sister Emma (Marvin) Heslop, Ogden. Orlo was the proud grandfather of 28 and great-grandfather of 15.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Plain City 2nd Ward chapel, 2952 N. 4200 W., Plain City, with Bishop Mark Montgomery officiating.
Friends may call at the Larkin & Sons Mortuary, 496 24th St., Ogden, Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., and at the ward chapel Wednesday, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
