Lu Ann Thorne Anderson

Lu Ann Thorne moved into the Glendale West Ward in 1949 when her parents moved to a new home on Valley View Rd and she attend Hoover High School from 1949 to 1952.

After graduating from Hoover she attended Occidental College. She married Dale Campbell in 1961 and they both attended the West Ward. She married George Anderson in 1974 and they lived in the Glendale 1st Ward and then the Glendale 2nd Ward.

Lu Ann was the ward chorister and Sunday school teacher for many of her years in Glendale. George served as ward clerk when Tad Callister was bishop of the Glendale 1st Ward. George passed away in 1988 and Lu Ann and her son G.L. continued to live in the 2nd Ward until she moved to Provo in 1994. So Lu Ann lived in Glendale for almost 50 years from 1945 to 1994.

G.L. served a mission to the Colorado Denver South mission from 1994 to 1996 and then he attended BYU and UVU. While at BYU G.L. sang in the Men's Chorus with Mack Wilberg and he was in the Cougar Marching Band. G.L. currently lives in Orem, UT and works for Xactware and H&R Block.
